Bunnushka
It’s a beautiful day to re-release my solo journaling TTRPG: BUNNUSHKA. I’m re-releasing this game with a whole new look! I’m excited to share it with all of you.
Inspired by an adorable photo of a bunny wearing a head scarf, I wanted to make a game that felt like living inside an episode of Little Bear or Franklin. This game features a community of woodland animals that celebrate birthdays, go on picnics, and send each other letters full of gossip.
The set up is simple: A d6, a d20, a journal, and a pen. When I tested this game, I would make a cup of coffee before sitting down to write and it definitely added to the experience. It’s a 35 page PDF that you can decide to either print or read on screens. If you don’t have dice, there’s many free dice rolling apps available (my fave is Pip).
There’s several tables that help provide structure, but it’s a very open game. If you’ve been curious about playing DnD or journaling TTRPGs, this would be a great introduction, especially to the storytelling and world building aspects. It’s also perfect for folks who want to write something, but don’t quite know where to start. At its core, this game is one big, cozy writing prompt.
I’ll be playing and posting my journal entries on this blog after we’ve finished up Last Tea Shop.
About this game:
Bunnushka lives a slow, cozy life in the countryside. She knits blankets for her elderly neighbor, tends to her garden, shops at the market, and enjoys a peaceful existence as the seasons change.
If you've ever found yourself at a farmer's market and wondered if you could become a beekeeper...
If you fantasize about reading in front of a fireplace or walkable neighborhoods...
Or if you just need a break in a special world where only good things happen...
BUNNUSHKA is the journaling game for you.
Fill your journal with poems, book reviews, recipes, letters, and seasonal reflections. If you'd like to listen to Bunnushka's radio, click here.
